BLAIR REGIONAL YMCA is excited to announce that we offer a PA Pre-K Counts program. If your child will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, now is the time to enroll in PA Pre-K Counts, located at the YMCA Early Learning Center in Hollidaysburg, PA
PA Pre-K Counts offers a free, high-quality program to help children learn the skills that they need to be ready and excited for kindergarten. Wraparound care is offered during hours when PA Pre-K counts class is not in session.
You can expect our preschool classroom to have teachers with the education and expertise to teach young children a curriculum that will help them grow academically and socially. Teachers will regularly review your child’s progress and choose teaching and learning activities that are best for your child.
Pre-K Counts will help you and your child adjust to pre-kindergarten and have a smooth transition to kindergarten. We offer a small class size, of no more than 20 students per one teacher and two aides, so that your child can have plenty of one-on-one time with the teachers.
PA Pre-K Counts is designed for children who are between age 3 up until the time of entry to kindergarten. Children living in households that earn 300% or less of the federal poverty level (see chart below) are encouraged to apply.
