Huge things are happening on Hewitt Street, and big changes start with a small pause!
Blair County, as we officially break ground on our brand-new, state-of-the-art Early Learning Center today, Friday, July 31st, we are taking the very first steps toward an incredible future with our “Under One Roof” Capital Campaign Project! 🎒🏛️
To keep our children, families, and community safe while heavy equipment and construction crews roll in, the last day for public use of our campus playground will be Sunday, August 2nd. Starting Monday, August 3rd, the playground area will be closed as construction officially kicks off.
While we are saying "goodbye for now" to our current play space, we are making room for something truly extraordinary. This construction is clearing the path for eight modern, state-of-the-art childcare classrooms, dedicated indoor play areas, and direct access to brand-new, secure outdoor play spaces designed specifically for our youngest learners! 👧👦✨
In a world full of virtual screens and digital shortcuts, we are doubling down on creating real-world spaces where generations can play, grow, and thrive together.
Thank you for your patience and support as we build a bigger, better, and brighter YMCA for Blair County and beyond. The temporary noise and dust today mean an amazing new home for our youth tomorrow!
