On the 4th of July, hundreds...𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨 1000...of runners and walkers from across Blair County and beyond will lace up for a legendary tradition. This year, as we celebrate America’s massive 250th Semiquincentennial birthday, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧!
But behind every individual crossing the finish line, there is a team of dedicated volunteers making the magic happen.
At the Blair Regional YMCA, social responsibility is at the core of who we are. Our community doesn’t thrive because of automated systems or digital shortcuts; it thrives because real people step up to look out for one another. We are calling on our incredible local community, civic organizations, youth groups, and businesses to team up with us and volunteer!
How you can help make history:
📸 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨: Capture all of the action from behind the lense and give them a memory to hold on to forever.
💧 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙚𝙨: Keep our runners hydrated and motivated along the course.
🏁 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 & 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙨: High-five the participants and ensure everyone stays safely on the right path.
🏅 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Hand out water, snap a finish line photo, or simply cheer on the racers as they cross the finish line

In a world where kids are increasingly connected to screens, a triathlon is the ultimate real-world challenge. It’s where "virtual points" are replaced by physical grit, determination, and the unforgettable feeling of crossing a real finish line. Our Youth Triathlon is built to be a safe, high-energy event where kids can build confidence, celebrate health, and cheer on their peers.
Whether your child is a seasoned competitive athlete or trying a multi-sport event for the very first time, this night is all about fun, personal achievement, and community spirit.
