REGISTRATION RATES

REGISTRATION

Each participant must complete an individual registration, including team participants.

TEAMS

One payment covers all team members. You must check the “I will be participating on a Team” box.

Registrations may be mailed in, dropped off at the YMCA, or you may register online.

Online registration will close on:

Friday, August 2nd @ 11:00 AM

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Race registration will be available at the Registration Table from 6:30 am to 7:40 am.

CHANGES

If you want to change races, you may do so by calling BLAIR REGIONAL YMCA at (814) 695-4467 before race day. There will be no race changes on race day.

RACE PACKET PICK-UP

BEFORE THE RACE

Race packets will be available for pick up starting the Thursday before the race, at BLAIR REGIONAL YMCA:

RACE NUMBERS & BIBS

RUNNERS: You must wear your race number on the front of your body to show that you are a race participant.

SWIMMERS & BIKERS: You will not wear a bib number, but will need to have the body marked.

You will have a certain color bib pertaining to what race you are participating in.

If you lose your bib or need a new one issued for any reason, there will be a $5 fee assessed.

TRIATHLON PARTICIPANTS ONLY

We will use the chip to identify all individual and team triathletes.

INDIVIDUAL TRIATHLETES

In addition to a chip, triathletes will be given a bib race number that must be worn during the RUN PORTION.

This is important to help volunteers and staff know who is participating in the race, and for emergency purposes.

TEAM TRIATHLETES

Triathlete teams must pass their chip from person to person.

RACE SHIRTS

The first 350 participants will be guaranteed a T-Shirt

RULES

For safety reasons, pets and headsets of any kind are not permitted.

Absolutely no headsets of any kind are allowed.
If you are found with a headset on, you will not get a finishing time!

NO race registration reimbursements.

Remember, if you cannot make it to the event, your registration fee is going toward a good cause.

COURSE INFORMATION

INDIVIDUAL TRIATHLON

HALF MILE SWIM – 13 MILE BIKE – 5K RUN

Minimum age requirements to participate in the triathlon is 16 years old.

8:00 AM START

SWIM

Open Water ½ Mile Out and Back Course in Canoe Creek

This is a challenging swim. If you have not swum in open water before, we highly recommend you practice before race.

All participants must wear the swim cap provided. Wet-suits are permitted.

BIKE

Rolling 13-mile Loop Course

Helmets are required.

Remember, you must wear your race number on your body to show that you are a race participant.

CAUTION!

All roads will remain open to traffic, and one small section does use a major road, so PLEASE be aware of your surroundings and keep your eyes open at all times.

5K RUN

Rolling 5K Course With a Big Hill Toward the End

Water Stations:

Near Halfway Point

This course is the same as the duathlon, so you may encounter other race participants. Please stay as far to the right as possible at all times.

TEAM TRIATHLON

HALF MILE SWIM – 13 MILE BIKE – 5K RUN

(Same Courses as Individual Triathlon)

Minimum age requirements to participate in the triathlon is 16 years old.

TEAMS

Up to 3 Members

Remember, separate registration is required for each team member.
All team members will receive a race t-shirt (while supplies last).

You will stage in the “Team Staging Area.”

Each team member MUST stay in the staging area until teammate tags the next team member.

DUATHLON

(2 MILE RUN – 13 MILE BIKE – 5K RUN)

7:55 AM START

The Duathlon will begin at the top of the Transition Area with a 2-mile run. Once you run back into the park you will be directed to the Transition Area to start the same 13-mile bike course the triathletes complete. After the bike portion you will complete the same 5k course as the triathletes, and finish with a 2-mile walk.

VOLUNTEER ROAD MARSHALLS NEEDED

We are looking for volunteers to help as road marshals along the race course. As a road marshal you will receive a race t-shirt and food after the race. Ask a friend, family member or co-worker to come along with you and enjoy all the excitement of helping out and cheering on the race participants!

May use the parking lots to the left and right side of the Transition Area

May park in the field to the right across from the FINISH LINE area.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL LEAVING THE PARK AFTER FINISH.
